Orgsteklo (Nizhny Novgorod) and Akrilan (Switzerland) will form the Akroplast joint venture for production of glass blocks in Russia, according to a recent press report. Overall investments in the project will amount to US$ 6 million. According to the report, Orgsteklo will contribute its production facilities. The controlling block in the joint venture will belong to the foreign investor, the report said. The predicted output of the joint venture will be 4,800 tons of glass a year, and almost all of the products will be exported to Western Europe.
