As planned, OCI Wyoming LP of the United States has broken ground with its US$ 140 million, 800,000 tons/year soda ash expansion on 1 June 1997. As formerly reported on GlassOnline, the expansion takes OCI“s capacity to 3.1 million tons/year. Operations are to start around the end of 1998.
