The National Petrochemical Company of Iran (NPC) recently announced plans to build a new world scale poly vinyl chloride (PVC) plant in Bandar Imam, Iran. The latest issue of NPC“s news bulletin says that bid documents are being prepared by its subsidiary, Petrochemical Industries Development Management (PISMCO), for this and two other future projects. Firstly, an 80,000 million tons per year soda ash project slated to be situated next to the Shiraz Petrochemical Complex in the southern Shiraz Province. Secondly, the company is inviting tenders for an ammonia project (676,500 million tons per year) to be built at the Razi petchem complex and due to come onstream 2003/04.
