On August 18, NorthGlass Shanghai Automation successfully signed an agreement with Wenxin Group for an automated smart factory project for glass used in whole-house custom furniture. The project will serve Wenxin Group’s whole-house custom furniture glass production line, enabling intelligent operations throughout the entire process, from raw glass warehousing to finished product dispatch.
The project will adopt NorthGlass Automation’s independently developed smart factory integrated solution, building an intelligent and digitalised production line covering the entire process from raw glass storage, remnant glass storage, laser marking, cutting, edge grinding and vertical glass sorting to tempering and laminated glass production. The system will also be integrated with ERP and MES manufacturing execution systems.
Leveraging NorthGlass’s more than 30 years of experience in glass processing equipment and manufacturing technologies, NorthGlass Automation has developed a mature technology system centred on ERP and MES platforms, supported by automated equipment and interconnected production lines across the entire plant. This collaboration represents another strong recognition from the market of the reliability and advanced capabilities of NorthGlass Automation’s smart factory solutions.
Taking this collaboration as an opportunity, NorthGlass Automation will work closely with Wenxin Group to build a benchmark smart factory for glass used in the whole-house custom furniture sector, providing a replicable example for the intelligent transformation and upgrading of the industry. NorthGlass Automation has previously delivered interconnected glass production line projects across multiple sectors, including architectural glass, home appliances, sanitary wares and photovoltaics. This collaboration will further expand the application of automated glass production lines in whole-house custom furniture scenarios.

The automated production line project signed with NorthGlass is specifically designed to build a smart factory for custom furniture glass at the aluminium and glass plant of Anhui Wenxin.
