The Chinese-built Tae-an Friendship Glass Factory in North Korea has been equipped with the latest technologies for its production processes and auxiliary facilities, according to a report from the Xinhua News Agency. The Tae-an Friendship Glass Factory covers hundreds of thousands of square meters and has a designed daily capacity of 300 tons of float glass. Building work on the factory, situated on the bank of the Taedong River, was launched with a ground breaking ceremony on 1 July 2004 attended by high ranking officials from North Korea and China.
