The Nonino distillery was founded in Friuli, Italy, during the second half of the XIX century. Since then it has distinguished itself for quality, innovation and research applied in the production of grappa. The Italian distillery has also become very famous for the interesting constantly new shapes and designs of its bottles. In mid-November Nonino celebrated its brand new bottle, another precious addition to its numerous collection. The design of this bottle was created for the distillery by Luca Cendali and crafted by the Venini glassworks in Murano, Italy. At the celebration there were such people as the stylist Ottavio Missoni, the publisher Rosellina Archinto and the sociologist Renato Mannheimer. The “jewel” for 2001 has been produced in a limited edition of 356 pieces and each bottle costs Euro 727. This work of art has been called “Opera Alchemica“ (Alchemistic Work).
