The Experimental Glass Station, located in Murano, near Venice, in north-east Italy, has recently undergone a reorganization. This was carried out with the objective of creating a more flexible structure open to the activities of consultation and technical assistance integrated between the various departments. This reorganization is also intended to create a solution to the various problems that may arise. With this outlook, which respects the more recent transformation of the Station into a Public Institute, open to the logic of today“s market, new areas have also been created to take the place of the previous departments. A coordinator will be in charge of assuring the quality of the work carried out. The new structure was expected to be operative as of 1 September 2001. More details can be obtained from the station“s website: www.spevetro.it or from: Co-ordinator of the technical-scientific activities Person-in-charge: Emanuel Guadagnino, Email: eguadagnino@spevetro.it
