Neolytica, a joint venture of Air Products & Chemicals Inc. Dow Chemical Co., Intertek Testing Services Ltd. and Thermo Electron Corp.“s Thermo Labsystems unit, has launched its pilot program and named executive officers. In a press release on 13 March, Neolytica said it named Steve Gregory chief operating officer and Simon Kaalman acting chief technology officer. Gregory previously worked at Dow Chemical, while Kaalman was with Thermo Labsystems. As part of the pilot programme, the outsourcing and analytical testing venture will focus on testing and enhancing the Web site“s function, targeting transactional and problem solving capabilities, order and information tracking and lab qualification services. Initially, Neolytica will serve customers in the chemicals, industrial gases, petrochemicals, plastics and consumer packaged goods industries.
