Nampak, Africa“s second-largest packaging producer will spend ZAR 100 million on a glass recycling plant to cut energy costs. Power usage at Nampak Wiegand Glass would be cut by between 6% and 9%, said Stoney Steenkamp, the unit“s managing director. Construction of the facility started in March 2009 and is due to be completed by March 2010, the company said.
