The Indonesian ceramics and glass manufacturer Mulia Industrindo recorded lower net profits and earnings per share for the first half of 1997. For the six months to 30 June, the company generated a Rp 40.13 billion net profit on net sales of Rp 280.07 billion, whilst last year for the same period the figures were Rp 51.07 billion and 227.25 billion respectively. Earnings per share fell from Rp 114 in the 1996 first half to Rp 36 this year.
