Karlovy Vary-based glass manufacturer Moser of the Czech Republic will start delivering beverage sets worth Kcs 20-30 million in early May to over 100 Czech embassies worldwide, as part of a 10-year contract closed with the Foreign Ministry, said Moser director Antonin Vlk. Vlk sees the order as strategic for the future expansion of the firm. Moser posted a 1999 profit of Kcs 7.8 million, up nearly 22% year-on-year. Sales were up 5% to Kcs 253.5 million. By the year 2004, the firm plans to raise sales by 70% to Kcs 420 million. Since 1996 its production has grown by 60%. Moser plans to reinforce its current 385 staff to 430-450.
