Shareholders of Ukrainian soda ash producer Lysychanska Soda open joint-stock company (Lysychansk, Luhansk region) appointed Hennadii Halunov as director general following the dismissal of the board on 12 September 2007. Halunov was director general of the Bega-R closed joint stock company (Perm, Russia) and had been acting board chairman of Lysychansk Soda before the 12 September shareholder meeting. Shareholders dismissed board chairman Serhii Lytvynenko, deputy chairman of the board Serhii Driupin, and board members Oleksii Didenko, Oleksandr Bondarenko, Ihor Kupenko, Oleh Holub, and Dmytro Horshanov. It was reported earlier that Lysychanska Soda had been acquired by the Russian Soda Company, which owns 84% of the Bereznikov soda plant, an open joint-stock enterprise located in the Perm region of Russia. Lysychanska Soda ended 2006 with a net profit of UAH 76,900. Net revenues increased by UAH 23.44 million or 13.82% year-on-year, to UAH 193.022 million in 2006.
