Strengthening its position in the field of machinery production for makers of high definition television (HDTV) sets, Lynch Machinery of the United States unveiled its new 15,000 sq. ft. (about 1,400 s. m.) facility on 23 January. Present at the ceremony in Bainbridge, Georgia, US, was Mr. Pierre Howard, Lt. Governor of the state of Georgia. Federal authorities in the United States recently decided to set standards for new HDTV technology, which is claimed to give TV broadcasts more colours, CD quality sound and a resolution six times greater than that of normal television technology.
