28 January 1999: Lynch Systems, a producer of leading-edge solutions for both the tableware and CRT glass industries in the glass forming and polishing sector, announced that it has entered into a contractual joint venture with Amav GmbH, a German high-technology company. Amav manufactures and distributes a broad range of products for both the tableware and CRT glass markets, and will work with Lynch to develop and manufacture complete glass line equipment for the tableware and CRT glass industries. In a recent company report, Lynch said the new company, called Lynch-Amav LLC, will leverage both companies“ respective technical and manufacturing expertise to capitalize on the growing demand in the glass equipment industry for technological solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Lynch and Amav will continue to design and develop feeders, shears, fire polishers, spinning machines, push bars and presses for the contractual joint venture, from which Lynch Systems will source and manufacture the majority of the joint venture“s needs. “I am pleased to strengthen the long-standing relationship with Frank Haepe and his company with this initiative. We are both at the forefront of glass equipment technology, and this strategic alliance will enhance Lynch“s market position in the design, development and manufacture of state-of-the-art glass equipment. We want to become a complete supplier to the tableware and CRT industry,” said Lynch Systems“ President and CEO, Arnold Bowling. Amav“s President, Frauk Haepe, said, “With the quality offered by Lynch and the technology developed by Amav, Lynch-Amav stands to benefit from the combined capabilities of our two companies and will service the glass industry with complete solutions for glassmaking needs.”
