Danish wind turbine blade producer LM Glasfiber announced on 9 June 2009 that it will reduce staff numbers at its facility in Little Rock, Arkansas, US, by 80 people to 300. The reason behind this cut is that of falling order intake, it was reported. The facility presently works around the clock seven days a week, but will switch to round-the-clock work five days a week in two months“ time. Previous staff reductions were carried out in January 2009, when the company sacked 150 employees.
