US LightPath Technologies, Inc., manufacturer and integrator of families of precision moulded aspheric optics, precision moulded infrared optics, GRADIUM glass products, and high-performance fiber-optic collimators and isolators, reported on 21 January 2010 that projected results for its second quarter of fiscal 2010 include: o backlog scheduled to ship within the next 12 months is USD 4.0 million, an increase of USD 900,000 or 29% compared with the backlog of USD 3.1 million on 31 December 2008 and an increase of USD 1.7 million or 74% compared to the backlog on 30 June 30 2009; o cash on hand as of 31 December 2009 was USD 906,000 compared with USD 524,000 on 31 December 2008 and USD 580,000 on 30 June 2009; o revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2010 totalled USD 2.2 million compared to USD 1.9 million for the same period in fiscal 2009 and was up USD 600,000 or 38% from the previous quarter. According to Jim Gaynor, President and chief executive officer of LightPath, “During the second quarter of fiscal 2010 we saw for the second consecutive quarter a significant increase in our backlog. We also experienced revenue growth of 38% over the previous quarter.
