Latvian Valmiera Glass Fibre said recently that its net profit rose to LVR 276,600 in the first eight months of this year from LVR 31,403 in the same period in 2000. The company planned 2001 net profit of LVR 128,400 on turnover of LVR 15.1 million. Imants Saulitis, Valmiera finance manager, said that the company does not plan to change its end-year forecast due to a seasonal decline in sales expected in December this year.
