The Board of Directors of US-based Lancaster Colony Corporation has voted to raise the December quarterly cash dividend by one cent per share, increasing the cash dividend for the 37th consecutive year. The board declared a quarterly dividend of 16 cents per share, up from 15 cents per share paid in the previous four quarters. The dividend is payable on 31 December 1999, to shareholders of record on 10 December 1999. The board also authorized the repurchase of an additional two million shares of the company“s common stock as part of an ongoing stock repurchase programme. Common shares currently outstanding are 39.88 million.
