Spanish flat glass manufacturer and processor La Veneciana S.A., a subsidiary of the flat glass and insulation producer Saint-Gobain Cristaleria, S.A., will launch production at its new plant at Zuera (Zaragoza, north east Spain) in March 2004. The EUR 3.1 million, 14,000 m2 factory is equipped with two glazing lines, a tempering line and a fabrication workshop. The new development substitutes the firm“s existing facilities in Madrid. In December 2003 Saint-Gobain group launched another production center at La Almunia de Do-a Godina (Zaragoza). La Veneciana encapsulates nine Spanish and three Portuguese companies involved in the manufacture and sale of glass products for construction. In 2003 it posted sales of EUR 201 million.
