Pentti Yliheljo, President and CEO of Kyro since 1996, is to retire from the company. He will be succeeded as CEO by Mika Seitovirta. Mr. Yliheljo has headed the group successfully since starting as President of Tamglass in 1992. Major changes carried out by Mr. Yliheljo have included the rapid global growth of Tamglass, IPO“s of parent company Kyro and telecom division Tecnomen, Glaston Technologies“ various acquisitions, with which the group“s main business area has become the global market and technological leadership in glass processing machines. Pentti Yliheljo warmly welcomed Mika Seitovirta to the Kyro Group. “Before the turn of the year we in Kyro“s team have an eventful and busy quarter ahead of us, to make sure we get to our objectives for 2006”, he added. Mika Seitovirta was Managing Director of Oy Hartwall Ab from 2003 to 2006. Before this he worked in various positions at Volvo“s Finnish and international organisation, including as Managing Director of Volvo Car in Finland. Commenting on the new challenge, Mr. Seitovirta said Kyro is a global market leader of its industry with both the appetite and the ability to grow. It is exciting to join and continue the development of Kyro, he said. Mika Seitovirta will start his orientation at the company on 1 November 2006.
