Polish household glassware manufacturer KHS Krosno SA (Krosno) won a PLN 8.0 million (USD 2.5 million/EUR 2.0 million) contract from Polish glass works Huta Szkla Gospodarczego Tarnow SA (HSG Tarnow) on 7 April 2005. Under the contract Krosno is committed to building a new furnace by 30 October 2005. Krosno owns 88.45% in HSG Tarnow. Krosno is Poland“s largest glassware exporter. Currently, some 70% of the company“s revenue comes from exports. Krosno intends to set up two foreign trading companies, including Krosno Ukraina to operate in neighbouring Ukraine, and Krosno Pacific to trade with Australia, Indonesia and other Southeast Asia countries in 2005.
