Chinese fiberglass manufacturers Jushi Group and Chengdu Jufeng Glass and investment company Chengdu Zhenshi Investment plan to build a CNY 250 million (USD 30.2 million/EUR 24.6 million) manufacturing and exporting facility for C-glass (a corrosion resistant type of glass used in glass mat for wrapping and isolating the external surface of pipelines). The Chengdu Jufeng facility will be built in the Qingbajiang Industrial Park in the city of Chengdu, Sichuan province, southwestern China. Construction work on the first production line has already begun. The line is expected to become operational by October 2004 with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes. A total CNY 900 million (USD 108.7 million/EUR 88.5 million) will be invested in the plant over the next five years. On completion, the plant will have three lines with an annual production capacity of 90,000 tonnes.
