6 November 1997: A regional court has suspended the ItL 38.5 billion fine inflicted by Italy“s anti-trust authority earlier this year on the Italian glass container producers Avir, Bormioli, Vetri and Zignago Vetro (see the Weekly World News story of 10 July). The civil court of Italy“s Lazio region ruled that the evidence presented by the country“s anti-trust authority was insufficient.
