German insulating materials company Saint-Gobain Isover G+H saw turnover fall by 3.7% to EUR 317 million for 2005. Post-tax profit rose from EUR 33.8 million to EUR 37.5 million thanks to earnings from foreign subsidiaries. Following a fall in the insulating materials market in 2005 because of a slowdown in new home building, demand is expected to increase in 2006 thanks to a modernisation programme and a rush to take advantage of German state housing grants ahead of their abolition.
