Insulation materials manufacturer Isover, a division of Saint-Gobain, is investing EUR 7 million in various production upgrades at its site at Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara, central Spain) in 2006-2007. Over this period the firm will put EUR 2.5 million into an integrated plan for the reduction of waste and atmospheric emissions. It will also invest EUR 2.5 million to unify the factory chimneys with aim of installing electric emission filters. The remaining EUR 2 million will go to upgrade the end of the rockwool line. The Azuqueca plant produces glass wool under the “Isover” brand and “Roclaine” rockwool, and has a annual capacity of 70,000 tonnes. The Spanish Isover division, part of Saint-Gobain Cristaleria S.A., posted sales of EUR 104.6 million in 2005 and is targeting sales of EUR 109 million for 2006. The worldwide turnover of the Isover division was EUR 2.244 billion in 2005.
