The Indian government has initiated anti-dumping investigations into the import of float glass from China and Indonesia. The probe has been launched on the basis of a petition filed by the All-India Float Glass Manufacturers Association (AIFGMA). The association has filed the petition on behalf of the Kanchipuram-based Saint-Gobain Glass India and Float Glass India, a Mumbai-based company. Another domestic producer, Gujarat Guardian, has supported the petition. The three firms account for more than 50% of the total domestic production of float glass in the country.
