Httinger signed a EUR 28 million contract with one of the world“s leading suppliers of flat panel display manufacturing equipment for process-enabling power supplies. This Japan-based company provides the production systems used by almost all Asian manufacturers to fabricate LCD and Plasma displays for products like televisions and computer monitors. “Wherever you find a new flat panel display, most likely, Httinger technology was used to build it”, said company president Dr. Dieter Pauschinger. With this, its third consecutive multi-million euro order, Httinger has become the market leader for process power used in critical FPD coating processes. All this in only two years and in a market dominated by Asian players. Today“s high resolution displays, with their sharpness and clarity, depend on the precise deposition and selective removal of ultra-thin films. Performed in large scale vacuum chambers, Httinger“s power supplies create an electrically charged gas mixture, called a plasma, that enables these special processes. Manufacturers around the world trust Httinger“s technology and expertise for their most critical plasma processes.
