German glass packaging company Heye Holding bought a 60.25% stake in Polish glass works HS Ujscie from investment fund Siodmy NFI for PLN 26.8 million (USD 7.6 million/EUR 6.2 million) on 22 September 2004. The stake amounts to 842,448 shares, or 60.25% of the company“s voting rights. The book value of the shares stands at PLN 25.4 million (USD 7.2 million/EUR 5.9 million). The total value of the shares sold is more than 10% of the value of Siodmy NFI“s assets. The sale leaves Siodmy NFI without any shares in HS Ujscie. HS Ujscie in Ujscie, western Poland, was established in 1802. The glass works specialises in manufacturing green and brown-coloured bottles. The company“s clients are domestic and foreign companies, including clients from France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Russia and Canada. It is certified under ISO-9001.
