Kuwaiti glass products manufacturer Gulf Glass Manufacturing Company has signed a KWD 88,500 (USD 300,500/EUR 240,200) contract to supply glass bottles in 2004 to Jordanian soft drinks maker Jordan Ice & Aerated Water Company (Pepsi-Cola Jordan), the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) reported on 29 February 2004. Gulf Glass Manufacturing posted a net profit of KWD 736,400 (USD 2.5 million/EUR 2.0 million) for 2003, up from KWD 591,600 (USD 2.0 million/EUR 1.6 million) in 2002. Earnings per share stood at KWD 0.028 (USD 0.095/EUR 0.076) in 2003, against KWD 0.023 (USD 0.078/EUR 0.062) in 2002. The company“s board of directors has proposed a cash dividend of KWD 0.008 (USD 0.027/EUR 0.022) per share for 2003 and a distribution of bonus shares at a ratio of 18 shares for every 100 shares held. Gulf Glass Manufacturing has a capital of KWD 2.78 million (USD 9.4 million/EUR7.5 million) divided into 27.8 million shares at a par value of KWD 0.01 (USD 0.34/EUR 0.271).
