The 4th Gulf Glass show, to be held in the capital of the Emirates, Abu Dhabi, 7-9 March 2011, will, once again, be the focal point for all aspects of the glass industry, as well as repositioning itself at the forefront of the region“s economic growth thanks to its new location. The Gulf Glass series of exhibitions started in 2007, and ran annually for the first three editions in Sharjah, UAE. Since then, the dynamic of the glass industry across the region has changed, with a focus away from the commercially-driven centre of Dubai, and towards Abu Dhabi – the centre of new growth. As such, and in line with our plans to make the show the premier biennial event, we have been delighted to secure the inspiring venue of ADNEC in Abu Dhabi, arguably the most state-of-the-art exhibition facility in the entire Middle East. Thanks to the rise in consumption of flat, processed, and container glass, focus is once again on expansion in the Middle East, with Abu Dhabi at the very centre of all the activity. Not only is the Emirate itself a hive of activity, but it serves as a focal point for a region that extends right across North Africa, East Africa, the Arabian Peninsula and on into Iran and Central Asia.
