Four SunGuard advanced architectural glass coatings that help projects save energy and contribute toward LEED certification are now available from Guardian“s Kingsburg, California plant. SunGuard AG 43, AG 50, Neutral 40 and Neutral 50 low-E coatings offer a variety of reflectivity and performance options for vision and spandrel glass and are suitable for many different types of commercial glass applications. These coatings were previously only made at Guardian“s Carleton, Michigan plant. The new Kingsburg production will provide customers shorter lead times, the opportunity for mixed truck loads with other Kingsburg products and offer advantages for West Coast projects seeking LEED certification due to local production. These are some of our most popular coatings and can exceed the performance of ordinary low-E glass, said Guardian director of commercial glass programmes Chris Dolan. Combined with our SuperNeutral series already available from Kingsburg, we have a comprehensive range of design solutions that allow architects to fully explore the aesthetic and functional possibilities of light. SunGuard and SuperNeutral are registered trademarks of Guardian Industries Corp.
