It was reported that Pursuant to section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended, an investigation was started on 19 August 2003, in response to a petition filed by a company official on behalf of workers at Guardian Industries Corporation, Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Guardian is one of the world“s largest manufacturers of float glass and fabricated glass products and the world“s largest producer of mirrors. The petitioner has requested that the petition be withdrawn. In consequence, the investigation has been terminated. The statement was signed on 25 August 2003 by Elliot S.
