The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) announced 20 March 2006 that Guardian Building Products, Inc. (GPB) has joined the 70-year old trade association. GPB, one of three major divisions of Guardian Industries Corp., is one of the largest fiberglass insulation manufacturers in the North America. It produces a full line of light density fiberglass insulation products for use in residential and commercial applications. The manufacturing plants are located in Albion, Michigan; Inwood, West Virginia; Kingman, Arizona; Mineral Wells, Mississippi; and Erin, Ontario, Canada. “NAIMA has always served as a powerful voice for the insulation industry on issues such energy efficiency, sustainability, environmental preservation, and government regulation,” said Ken Mentzer, president and CEO of NAIMA. “With the addition of Guardian Building Products, NAIMA“s voice becomes that much stronger, and we are pleased to have them on board”. Gary Romes, vice president of Business Development of GBP added, “Guardian supports and recognizes the good work NAIMA does on behalf of its members. We are pleased to join NAIMA and look forward to serving as an active member”. NAIMA is the association for North American manufacturers of fiberglass, rock wool, and slag wool insulation products. Its role is to promote energy efficiency and environmental preservation through the use of fiberglass, rock wool, and slag wool insulation, and to encourage the safe production and use of these materials.
