The General Syrian Company for Glass and Porcelain Industries (GSCGPI) reported sales of SYP 616 million for the first nine months of 2002, compared to SYP 569.5 million for the same period of 2001. GSCGPI produced glass products valued at SYP 620 million in the period from January to September 2002, which is 8.0% over the planned level and a 13% year-on-year increase. GSCGPI posted a net profit of SYP 140 million in 2001.
