1 July 1999: Glaverbel Czech, the biggest Czech manufacturer of flat glass and its applications in Central and Eastern Europe, reported a net of Kcs 156 million on receipts of Kcs 5.298 billion last year. According to a recent report, the receipts of the company, which operated under the name of Glavunion till the end of last year, increased by 5.2% against the previous year. The consolidated receipts of Glaverbel Czech, including the subsidiaries, represented Kcs 8.279 billion and rose by approximately 10%. Out of the overall revenues of Glaverbel Czech with 1,449 employees, exports amounted to Kcs 3.552 billion. The consolidated entity, which employs 3,212 workers, posted Kcs 5.634 billion worth of revenues from exports. The parent company“s net profit rose 28.3% against the previous year to some Kcs 156 million. A pre-tax dividend of Kcs 7 per share is expected to be paid for last year. Glaverfin Beheer BV owns 99.98% of shares of Glaverbel Czech, with share capital of Kcs 3.5 billion.
