One of the most intense applications for anti-reflective glass has just been completed. The Toys “R” Us store in Times Square, New York City, US, recently opened and chose to use LUXAR(R) antir-eflective glass in the store front. Produced by Swiss glassmaker Glastrsch, LUXAR(R) is an anti-reflective coated glass with less than 25% residual reflection per surface. The choice of using LUXAR(R) allows the inside of the entire store to be seen day or night no matter the lighting conditions. The use of LUXAR(R) opens the entire storespace and makes the products for sale visible and the store more inviting to the public to enter and make a purchase. The glass used in this application was laminated LUXAR(R). This choice was made to block the damaging UV rays which can harm store merchandise in one week in a normal store front.
