At Vitrum 2009, Glaston announced its latest cooperation agreement with Finland-based Cimec Oy for the sales and distribution of glass lifters. Cimec Oy, founded in 1995, manufactures machines for window manufacturers and the glass industry. The cooperation between Glaston and Cimec will primarily deal with products related to window assembly lines and glass lifters. Cimec specializes primarily in ergonomic handling equipment, which can be easily customized due to its modular construction. According to Timo Nieminen, senior vice president, Glaston Services, Glaston and Cimec share the same vision of a continuous customer-oriented development process that guarantees high quality products for the benefit of end users. The Cimec range of glass lifters includes tilting lifters as well as vertical lifters.
