GlassBuild America says it is expecting a record-breaking event at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, 10-12 September 2007. The event will feature 538 exhibiting companies occupying 20,330 square meters of exhibition space, the highest number in GlassBuild America history. One hundred and thirty new exhibiting companies are participating, as well as 154 exhibiting companies from outside the US. “Along with our highest number of exhibitors to date, we“re also very pleased with our pre-registration numbers this year – so far our overall registration is higher than this same time last year, and that trend has been consistent since registration opened,” said Denise Sheehan, VP of Industry Events. “Looking at all of our various industry segments, the demographics are right on target with what we saw last year, so we know it“s going to be a great show”. GlassBuild America 2007 will highlight many activities over the course of the 3-day event. Segmented industry educational tracks will occur daily, as well as the day-long Glazing Executives Forum hosted by NGA, a program focusing on insulating glass hosted by IGMA, and a special breakfast and presentation for architects, held in collaboration with the AIA Georgia Chapter, will take place on 11 September 2007. The show floor itself has some new elements with an Auto Glass Pavilion, featuring a NASCAR race car and an appearance by racing legend Rusty Wallace and his son, Steve Wallace; Microsoft will have their “Across America Truck” on the show floor to showcase their latest technologies; the Connection Cafes will allow both exhibitors and attendees alike to connect with each other or people back home; and live educational demonstrations will take place on the show floor daily.
