29 July 1999: interGLASSmetal/FENESTRATIONworId (iGm/FW) “99 will be held this November 3, 4 and 5 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, US if you want to know what the future of the glass and fenestration industries will be in the new century. According to the organizers, nearly 1,300 stands covering 126,000 sq. ft. will feature a wide range of machines, products and services for virtually every market segment of the glass and fenestration industry, including automotive, window and door, architectural, and flat glass. Doug Dame of Dame Associates, show management, said in a press statement, “Equipment manufacturers especially are pulling out all the stops this year; at last count, over 100 continuous live machine demonstrations are planned, not to mention thousands of computer simulations.” Seminars and workshops are also planned to complement the exhibits. Industry leaders and top experts will reportedly be offering over thirty seminars covering a broad spectrum of glass and fenestration issues. These will range from hands-on, technical “how-to” sessions to discussions on the liability risk associated with various products and advice on promoting sales. Dame Associates says nearly 6000 visitors representing companies from North America, Europe and Asia are expected at the show.
