Soda ash maker GHCL announced on 25 May 2009 that its board has approved to merge with Colwell & Salmon Communication (India), a global ITES service provider. Colwell & Salmon (India) is a subsidiary of Sanjay Dalmia promoted GHCL Limited, operating at 16 locations, providing service to the US, UK and Australian markets as well as within the country. In mid-May 2009, the Delhi High Court (HC) had directed the chemical company to produce the minutes of its scheduled board meeting during which issues raised by its ousted director and investor, Pramod Jain would be discussed. The Court“s direction came after Jain raised apprehensions that the board might not discuss the issues raised by him in the letter tothe company on 27 March 2009, discussing its status.
