Iran“s leading glassmaker GGC (Ghazvin Glass Co.), has announced that is new plant, located 200 Km west of Tehran in a 50-hectare area, became operational in December 2009. The plant uses Pilkington technology and supervision, and will have an annual capacity of 180,000 tons of 1.8-19mm thicknesses. Once fully operational, the plant will enable GGC to export mirror and automotive quality float glass to the neighbouring region.
