US-based trade fair organizers George Little Management (GLM) is realigning its current staff responsibilities to create new areas of specialization – Media Relations, Event Management and Programming – within its Public Relations Department. “The change, which complements its existing areas of specialization – Buyer Services and Displays – not only allows us to improve the Department“s overall level of service to GLM and its shows, but also encourages our current staff to further develop skills in areas where they have demonstrated strengths,” GLM said in a company statement. Katy Tobin, GLM“s Public Relations Manager, will continue to oversee the day-to-day activities of both the Media and the Events staff. The Media staff will be responsible for publicity and promotion for all GLM shows, however, each Supervisor will have specific show assignments and industry affiliations. The Events staff will conceive and execute special events (such as parties, receptions, award ceremonies and competitions) for all GLM shows. Cari Delahanty, GLM“s Buyer Services Manager, will continue to oversee GLM“s identification of and communication with key buyers in the industries we serve. As an extension of this, Cari also assumes responsibility for directing the Programs staff on a daily basis. The Programs staff will conceive and execute educational programming (seminars, conferences, demonstrations and retail tours) for all GLM shows. Matthew Goodman, GLM“s Display Manager, will continue to direct GLM“s special display and exhibit design efforts. The Display staff responsibilities include the conception and installation of theme displays, product showcases and exhibit designs at GLM shows.
