Citing higher energy costs, soda ash producer General Chemical Group Inc. is raising its price for soda ash by US$ 5 a ton, effective 1 October. General Chemicals“ units, General Chemical Industrial Products and General Chemical Canada Ltd. increased all off-schedule prices for liquid calcium chloride solution and flake calcium chloride, also due to increasing energy costs.
