The Glass Association of North America (GANA) has named Chuck Knickerbocker of Technical Glass Products, Snoqualmie, Washington, as the new chair of the BEC Division Technical Committee. He will lead the committee at the upcoming BEC Conference and Trade Show, 27-29 March, in Las Vegas. The building envelope is receiving more scrutiny than ever, especially with the push for energy efficiency, Knickerbocker said. Glazing is always going to be a key part of the envelope, and our industry has a lot of good things to say about new systems and technologies. I“m looking forward to working with the BEC Technical Committee members and others in GANA to help educate contractors on the latest code developments, testing standards, materials and installation practices. With 30 years of curtain wall experience, Knickerbocker has successfully worked with numerous architects, building owners and subcontractors from development of schematic design through installation.
