Production at O-I Manufacturing Finland (of the Owens-Illinois group) in Karhula will be halted for five days at the end of September 2008. Employees will carry out maintenance work during the stoppage. According to the company, no more stoppages or job cuts are to be expected. In July 2008 production was also stopped for two weeks.
