The 15th edition of the Vitrum trade fair in Milan, which registered higher attendance numbers than expected, was also positive for Fenzi Group, the Italian company active in the chemical sector as well as in secondary glass processing. From the first estimates regarding visitors registered, the 2007 edition of Vitrum saw an increase of 3.13% on 2005. International visitor numbers were up 3.69% while the number of Italian visitors was 2.68% higher. Fenzi was present at the fair with a technologically revamped stand and, in the words of the group“s president Dino Fenzi, “Vitrum is always an event that gives better results than those forecast. This is not one of the best periods for the glass industry, due to the influence that the construction sector (now undergoing a recession because of speculation) has on our market. However, emerging markets are compensating the slowdown of those more established, confirmed from the numerous international operators we spoke to during the fair”. Alessandro Fenzi, managing director of Fenzi, also confirmed the positive trend of the fair: “This edition of Vitrum has been very good for us. We have had a very high number of meetings at our stand and, other than the quantity, we are very satisfied with the “quality“ of the visitors. The glass industry is becoming bigger and is continuing to make progress also from the technological point of view. In this context, the international vocation of our company and the important investments that we have made in our research departments are giving considerable satisfaction”.
