Saint-Gobain has participated in a capital increase at Chile“s Envases BO (BO Glass Containers) that gives it control of the firm with a 51% stake. As a result, Envases BO will now be known as Saint Gobain Envases. Felix Bacigalupo and Juan Obach retain a 49% stake. The firm will soon begin operating for the wine sector from its new plant in Rosario (VI Region) and is aiming to take some of Cristalerias Chile“s 80% share of the domestic market to reach its target share of 25%. Saint-Gobain also has a stake in Lirquen (Bacigalupo and Obach are also involved) as well as a stake in Matte“s Compania Industrial Volcan in Chile.
