7 January 1999: Within a short period of nine months, Emirates Glass LLC (EGL), the only UAE-based high-performance reflective glass processing company, is well and truly making its mark in both the domestic and international markets, said the firm in a recent company press release. EGL, a subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC, is fast gaining the status of becoming a preferred supplier for local and international projects and has an order back-log for early 1999. Currently, EGL is in production for delivery of high-performance monolithic glass and insulated glazed units for a prestigious twin-tower project and the new Dubai International Airport. The company said it is making its presence felt in the overseas markets as well, with supplies of insulated glazed units for a part of Singapore“s Changi International Airport Extension and have recently completed delivery of insulated glazed units and monolithic glass for The Islamic Republic of Iran Ministry of Broadcasting Headquarters in Tehran. EGL is currently in the process of finalising contracts for supply of glass for important projects in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai and Chennai.
