DuPont has reported the opening of its new production facility, which will employ 70 workers, to support growth in Central and Eastern Europe for DuPont Butacite G safety glass interlayers made entirely from recycled material. This investment demonstrates DuPont“s focus on Central and Eastern Europe and supports our commitment to deliver science-based innovations and sustainable solutions for our customers, said William J. Harvey, president – DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers. The patented technology used at this facility enables product waste to be recycled and provides value through its reuse in safety glass interlayers made of 100% recycled material. DuPont Butacite interlayers are used to protect solar cells in photovoltaic arrays, as well as in the production of laminated glass structures for automotive and architectural applications. This new production facility for Butacite G contributes to the economic development of the area and its central location will enable efficient distribution of product throughout Europe, said Sona Krausova – DuPont country leader in the Czech Republic.
