Glass interlayer developer DuPont has entered into a strategic alliance with GSC Glass India, based near Delhi. “As part of the deal, GSC Glass is setting up a new glass laminating plant for buildings and we will provide them with technical expertise and business development support in the domestic market,” said Sandeep Kashyap, director DuPont glass laminating products (India). In India, DuPont already has technical alliances with a number of glassmakers, including Sekurit Saint-Gobain and Ashai India Safety Glass, for making automotive glazing. DuPont expects annual growth in the use of laminated glass of 20% over the next five to six years, and plans to achieve a turnover of Rs 10 billion by 2003 from the Indian laminated glass segment.
